Marché Forville & Marché Gambetta

Rue d'Antibes

Because of its many tourists and big festivals, Cannes has an impressive arsenal of shopping possibilities despite its modest size. Especially La Croisette and Rue d’Antibes are famous for their many expensive boutiques, but a look down the side alleys will reveal the local stores and markets and a lot of great and wonderful offers.

Rue d’Antibes is every shopaholic’s wet dream. Here you’ll find everything from expensive designer stores with famous and local brands to small shops with souvenirs or household items.

The price level on Rue d’Antibes is quite high, but it is just as fun to just do some window shopping in the expensive clothing and shoe stores.

Marché Forville and Marché Gambetta is Cannes’ great food meccas. Six days a week, local food producers and farmers take their goods to the markets which are stuffed with fresh fish, high quality meat, crisp vegetables, sweet fruits and colourful flowers.

It’s easy to get lost in the local delights and shopping here is both tastier and cheaper than the goods you’ll find in the supermarket’s coolers.

Fine arts and eatery – all in the same place! That is the simple concept of Le Sug’art positioned at the end of Rue du Suquet.

Here, one might spend hundreds of Euros buying art before walking through the narrow corridor leading out to the yard where you will be served a cheap, fizzy and ice cold drought beer.

With Rue d’Antibes being in the high end of the price range, it is much easier to find goods suiting the average wallet on Rue Meynadier.

Though you can’t get away from the touristy souvenir shops, there are loads of local stores and nice restaurants perfect for breathing in the Southern French atmosphere.
