Nice
Gorges du Verdon

Southern France has it all. From the pulsating big cities to the small medieval villages neatly built on the top of a hill or mountain, from the wild and untamed nature to the straight-as-an-arrow wine fields, the famous French cuisine and famous art. There is something for every taste and if you go out of Cannes, a world of wonders awaits!

Gorges du Verdon is, quite simply, the Grand Canyons of Europe and covers an area of 13 miles with gorges up to 800 yards deep created by the river Verdon.

It takes a couple of hours to get there by car, but it is all worth the while when you see the emerald green water, the wild canyons and gorgeous villages that you will encounter along the way.

Mougins is a small Roman village about fifteen minutes away from Cannes. The village is surrounded by big forests and exudes with coziness and friendly atmosphere. This was the place that Pablo Picasso spent the last twelve years of his life.

The village is famous for its culinary heritage and is home to a number of great restaurants. The new Museum of Classical Art is also worth a visit.
